Yoga for Men - AKA Broga

Yoga is frequently represented in a way that makes it seem, unintentionally, as if it is primarily for women. This can deter men from participating in classes where they might feel out of place in a predominantly female setting.

From my own experiences, I have often heard other men express that they believe they lack the flexibility required for yoga. My goal is to dismantle the misconception that yoga is not suited for men. I am dedicated to motivating more men to give yoga a try and discover its benefits for themselves. Together with Yogalina in Witney, we have created a Tuesday evening class exclusively for men, tailored to suit males of all ages, physical abilities, and levels of flexibility.

What to Expect

Improved Flexibility

Stretching those parts of the body where men most often experience tightness and tension such as the hips, hamstrings, neck and shoulders.

Balanced Strength

Strengthening and lengthening muscle groups such as in the mid-body to avoid overloading or under-utilising muscles that increase the risk of injury.

Increased Stamina

Developing techniques for slower, deeper breathing and synchronising breath through movement to help relax, concentrate, and support muscle release. .

Reduced Stress

Relaxing through an integrated set of movements that help develop greater awareness of how the body and mind can be used to manage stressful situations.

It’s Good to Talk

Through my partnership with Your True Potential Coaching, I am also creating a community for men to talk and listen in a safe space. Supporting one another by starting and ending classes each week by introducing ourselves by name and sharing responses to two simple questions – How are you? Out of 10?

There’s no pressure to share scores and you’re welcome to just listen to others.
